Remodeling Auditorium Step Lighting to Improve Safety and Experience
In their recent auditorium remodel, Colegio Americano implemented step lighting to enhance both safety and aesthetics. The goal was to enhance the visibility of each step without creating an overly bright distraction that would take away from the stage.
StepGuard 45 was selected for this project because of its effective yet subtle illumination, which provides a clean, uniform light along the stair nose. Unlike other lighting options that use individual LED dots, StepGuard 45 features a continuous strip of light from Light Tape. This ensures a smooth, uninterrupted glow that highlights each step clearly for people as they walk up and down them.

Colored Step Lighting Options
The choice of Classic Yellow was intentional, as it seamlessly integrated with the auditorium’s existing color scheme while enhancing safety. The result is a refined and practical lighting solution that effectively meets the project’s requirements.
We have a range of colors that retain vibrance when not illuminated so you don’t lose the desired effect. Our base colors are Classic Natural Blue and Extreme Blue-Green. These colors appear white when off and lightly colored when illuminated. Our Media White and Glacier White are perfect for backlighting and applications requiring white, unfiltered white.
